Speaking ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Newcastle United, the City manager acknowledged Jurgen Klopp’s side were unlikely to drop many points. The Reds have a four-point cushion at the summit, although their next match at home to Leicester City is not until Wednesday, so the reigning champions have a chance to cut the gap. City reached the 100-point mark last season and Guardiola was asked if a similar feat may be required to retain their crown....

Defending champions AC Milan resumed their Serie A campaign following the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a trip to Salernitana on Wednesday (January 4). Leao, who’s being strongly linked with an £86 million switch to Chelsea, was on the scoresheet in the 2-1 victory. In the tenth minute, he went on a dizzying run down the left-inside channel, rounding off Salernitana’s legendary Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa and finding the back of the net....

In case you didn’t know… Manchester United are drawn to play against Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League 2018-19. The first leg will be played at the Old Trafford on April 11, whereas, Barcelona will host the English side at the Camp Nou for the second leg on April 17. The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League table, two points outside the Champions League qualification places....

In case you didn’t know… After missing out on the Champions League qualification places last season, Manchester United spent heavily in the transfer market this summer - an outlay of £148 million. Jose Mourinho’s men are trailing leaders Chelsea by 13 points following an indifferent start to the season and the Portuguese admitted this week they are unlikely to catch the Londoners.
